On January 15 of this year, at the khokimiyat of the Khojaabad district of Andijan region held a meeting with the republican working group dedicated to the results of the study on the preparation for the population census.
For reference: by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023" dated November 11, 2020, it was established that from November 1 to November 25, 2021, in the Khojaabad region of the Andijan region, the Yukori-Chirchik region of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva of Khorezm region and the Yashnabad region of the city of Tashkent, a population census will be conducted in a test mode.
The Department for the Organization and Conduct of Census Processes of the State Committee on Statistics provided information on the work carried out in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 710 of November 11, 2020 "On measures to prepare and conduct the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023."
A working group consisting of representatives of the State Statistics Committee and responsible territorial statistical bodies is studying schematic plans and maps of settlements in the Khojaabad region.
In the course of the research, the clarity of the boundaries of mahallas and settlements, the establishment of street names, the numbering of houses and apartments are studied.
Also, local citizens of makhallas are given explanations about the essence and significance of the population census, its goals and role in the further socio-economic life of the country.
