Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Mirsoatov visited Namangan region and got acquainted with the process of preparations for the population and agriculture census, which will be held in 2026.

During the visit, the deputy chairman of the committee met with the khokim of the Naryn district, Jurabek Nurmatov, and exchanged views on the issues of high-quality, timely, and effective organization of the census in the region based on the established requirements, strengthening cooperation between responsible structures.

He also visited the “Yuqori Cho'ja” mahalla citizens' assembly in Norin district and familiarized himself with the activities of the headquarters for the population and agricultural census.

During the studies, the work carried out by the members of the “mahalla seven” on data collection based on modern GIS technologies, full coverage of households and agricultural facilities, and ensuring the geographical accuracy of land objects was comprehensively analyzed.

At the end of the visit, relevant recommendations and instructions were given to officials on further improving the registration processes, the effective use of digital solutions, and ensuring the quality and reliability of information.
