An expanded meeting dedicated to ensuring the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 19, 2025, No. DP-173 “On the Conduct of the Population and Agriculture Census in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was held in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan F. Ermanov, at which the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Khamraev, as well as the heads of ministries and departments of the republic, regional organizations and relevant responsible managers.
During the meeting, the state of preparation for the population and agricultural census planned for 2026, organizational work, ensuring interdepartmental cooperation, preparing data broken down by mahalla, and involving the population in the census process were discussed in detail.
A number of proposals and recommendations were also made for the high-quality and timely conduct of the census in accordance with international standards, further strengthening cooperation between responsible agencies, effective use of information and communication technologies, and strengthening awareness-raising work among the population.
At the end of the meeting, relevant instructions were given to ensure the fulfillment of the assigned tasks, accelerate preparatory work, and constantly monitor the processes.
