In pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 19, 2025 No. DP-173 “On the Conduct of the Population and Agriculture Census in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, as well as in order to ensure the fulfillment of the instructions of the Cabinet of Ministers on mahallas in border areas, studies are continuing in the regions.
In this regard, representatives of the board of JSC “Xalq Bank” visited the Fergana district of the Fergana region and familiarized themselves with the preparations for the population and agricultural census. During the visit, the activities of the district headquarters, the material and technical base created for the census, the readiness of responsible employees for work, and practical measures taken in mahallas located in border areas were studied.
Special attention was paid to the systematic organization of the process of conducting an inventory of the population and agricultural facilities in the district, conducting explanatory work in a simple and understandable way in neighboring mahallas, and clarifying the tasks of each responsible person.
During the meeting, the work being carried out together with district officials, awareness-raising work organized in mahallas, and the tasks of responsible employees in the census process were discussed. Officials were given additional instructions on the high-quality organization of the process, proper registration of the census results, and informing the population about the essence of this event.
In this regard, in cooperation with the district department of the National Guard, additional training sessions were held on the tasks related to the registration process. Also, in the "Ijodkor" and "Yozyovon" mahallas, extensive explanatory work was carried out with the population on the requirements for the census, the stages of the process, and the information that should be provided by the population.
