In our country, from January 15 to February 28, 2026, a population and agricultural census is planned, in which the employees of the "mahalla seven" of all regions will take an active part. In this regard, preparatory processes are being implemented in stages on the ground.
The Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kh. Turakhuzhaev, and the First Deputy Hokim of the region, M. Achilov, visited Urgench district and familiarized themselves with the process of preparation for the census in the district. The essence and goals of the population census, as well as the participation of everyone in this process, were discussed.
During the visit, detailed information was provided on the essence, goals, and objectives of the census process, and the tasks assigned to responsible persons in mahallas for the high-quality conduct of the process were once again reminded.
Also, a meeting was held with the seven members of the Arboblar mahalla, who were given practical recommendations on the correct, accurate, and systematic recording of questionnaires using tablet devices. In order to strengthen the knowledge and skills of mahalla employees, the technical and organizational aspects of the census process were explained in detail.
At the end of the event, officials were given additional instructions on the effective organization of the process, increasing public awareness, and consistently monitoring all stages.
