In order to widely and effectively cover the processes of the population and agricultural census in the mass media and increase public awareness, on November 12 of this year, a training seminar was organized for media representatives at the Institute for Advanced Training of Personnel and Statistical Research.
The seminar was organized in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Uzbekistan and the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media.
The event was attended by experts from the National Statistics Committee, international organizations, and media representatives. During the training seminar, information was provided on the significance of the population and agricultural census, its impact on the socio-economic development of the country, and methods of accurate and objective coverage of information.
Such events will serve to increase the activity of the media, raise public awareness, and expand public participation in the population and agriculture census, which will be held in our country from January 15 to February 28, 2026.
