On November 30 of this year, the conference hall of the “National Association of Kashkadarya mass media” LLC hosted a seminar on the implementation of resolution No. 710 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 "On measures to prepare and conduct the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023" together with employees of the statistics Department of the Kashkadarya region and correspondents of regional media, journalists and bloggers.
Deputy head of the statistical Department Shukhrat Taylokov spoke at the seminar. He gave an idea that the population census is important for reliable information, long – term forecasts, development of programs for socio-economic development of the state and employment, formation of indicators for national sustainable development goals, studying the processes of placement and use of labor resources, and conducting scientific research.
It was also noted that from November 1 to 25, 2021, it is planned to conduct a pilot population census in Khojaabad district of Andijan region, Yukorichirchik district of Tashkent region, Khiva city of Khorezm region and Yashnabad district of Tashkent city. During the press conference, journalists, bloggers and mass media received answers to their questions.
