On September 19 this year, a seminar was organized by the employees of the Regional statistics department in the khokimiyat of the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region.
M. Sharipov - head of the Division of Organization and Conduct of the Population Census Processes of the Department spoke at the event on this issue. In his speech, he told in detail about the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2019 № 5655 “On approval of the concept of conducting the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022” and about the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 16, 2020 № 611 “On the population census”.
Taking into account the fact that the census is of a comprehensive nature and is in the centre of attention of observers from international organizations, he noted the necessity for high-quality implementation of the set tasks on the ground, together with the relevant bodies.
Also, the participants of the seminar were acquainted with the structures of the census form and given practical explanations on how to fill them in.
At the end of the event, participants’ questions about the process of preparing for the census were answered by employees of the Division of Organization and Conduct of Census Processes.
