In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2019 № 5655 “On Approval of the Concept of Conducting the Population Census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022”, a meeting-seminar took place in the Statistics Department of the Bukhara region to discuss the works done within the framework of preparation on the ground to conduct the population census in 2022 and the tasks to be performed.
With regard to this issue, at the event, the head of the department - U. Jumanazarov, delivering a speech, told about the issues considered at the seminar held at the State Committee on Statistics on September 8-9, 2020. He told the participants of the seminar that in accordance with the Ruling of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 3, 2020 № RP- 4796 “On measures for further improvement and development of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, a new division “Organization and conduct of census processes” was created in the Department and introduced the employees working in it.
Along with this, the deputy head of the Department - Sh. Yusupov, delivering a speech, gave detailed explanations on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2019 № 5655 “On the Approval of the Concept of conducting a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022”, as well as on the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 611 dated March 16, 2020 “On the population census”.
After that, the head of the Division of organization and conduct of the census of the Department – M. Sharipov, delivering a speech, informed about the implementation on the ground of the Decree and Regulations issued by the governing body of the Republic on the conduct of a population census, about the outreach activities carried out for the population census by the Department, as well as by (city) district Statistics Divisions. After this issue was critically examined, instructions and order were given to further increase responsibility.
Further, the participants of the meeting received answers from the division employees for the questions they were interested concerning the conduct of a population census.
