On September 16 this year, an online training seminar was organized for the Department and territorial divisions under the guidance of the head of the Statistics Department of the Surkhandarya region - U.I. Alimov.
At the seminar, instructions were given on the implementation of instructions and tasks specified in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2019 DP № 5655, including on the complete formation of street names and serial numbers of apartments on the spot by special commissions, the preparation of maps in the context of makhallas of the district and cities.
After that, the head of the Division of the Department of organization and conduct of the census - S. Ostonov, delivering a speech, informed about the implementation on the spot of the Decree and Regulations issued by the governing body of the Republic on the conduct of a population census, about the outreach activities carried out for the population census by the Department, as well as by (city) district Statistics divisions. After this issue was critically examined, instructions and order were given to further increase responsibility.
Having acquainted with the census questionnaires, which were developed by the State Committee on Statistics, an explanation on how to fill them in was conducted. Also, after the questionnaires were distributed among all participants, the works on how to fill them in were tested in practice.
The participants of the meeting received answers from the division employees to the questions they were interested concerning the conduct of a population census.
In addition, a number of instructions was given regarding tasks, as well as the improvement of the quality of statistical data and ensuring the delivery of statistical data to consumers within the prescribed time limits, which were indicated in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 3, 2020 DP № 4796 “On measures for further improvement and development of the National statistics system of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
