On September 16 this year a seminar on ensuring the implementation of Decree №DP-5655 “On approval of the Concept of conducting a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022” was organized, at which deputy khokim of the Yazyavan district of the Fergana Region, head of the division for Supporting the Makhalla and Family of the Yazyavan district - Z. Teshabaeva took part.
The head of the statistics division of the Yazyavan region - A. Arapov, the head specialist - A. Khakimov, 33 employees of the makhalla citizens’s gathering of the district participated at the seminar. A number of items of information was given on the execution of orders and tasks defined in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2019 № DP-5655, including on the full formation by special commissions of street names and serial numbers of apartments on the spot, conducting a census of the entire population in the context of makhallas over the district.
Also, during his report, the head of the statistics division of the Yazyavan district - A. Arapov noted that reliable information about the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its well-being is considered to be an important basis for long-term forecasts and developing targeted programmes for the socio-economic development of the state, programmes for creating new workplaces and providing employment for the population, forming the indicators of the National Sustainable Development Goals, studying the processes of placement and use of labour resources, as well as conducting the scientific research. Seminar participants received detailed answers for all questions they were interested in.
