The Republic of Turkmenistan conducted a population census from December 17 to December 27, 2022. This is the third census in the modern history of Turkmenistan. Prior to that, it took place in 1995 and 2012. And this time the action was held in the traditional method.
But the current one is distinguished by the wide use of advanced technologies. Enumerators used digital tablets when walking around living quarters. There are 53 questions in the questionnaire. They relate to gender, age, citizenship, place of birth, nationality, education, family composition, sources of income, living conditions, etc.
In the course of the population census, questionnaires were filled in on tablets specially made in the Republic of Turkmenistan.
