On February 3 of this year, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a meeting with the head of the Representative office of the United Nations Population Fund in the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss further cooperation.
The event was attended by Statistics Agency Director Bakhodir Abdusalomovich Begalov, Head of the UN Population Fund in the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Yu Yu and other specialists.
During the meeting, Director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahodir Begalov and Head of the Representative office of the United Nations Population Fund in the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Yu Yu exchanged views on current and promising areas of bilateral cooperation, including the preparation process for the population census, issues of effective use of ICT in this area.
The participants of the meeting also agreed to further strengthen cooperation in preparation for the population census, on measures to be taken in the future.
