On November 12-15, 2019, deputy head of the Department for the Formation of Consolidated Analytical Information on Population Statistics, Demography and Labor of the State Statistics Committee Tolibjon Sidikov took part in the training course on «Administrative data censuses, moving from traditional censuses towards register-based and combined censuses» held in Kiev (Ukraine).

The purpose of this training course is to review the opportunities and risks involved in moving from traditional to combined and register-based censuses. Participants will learn about the transition challenges.

From a traditional census to a combined / traditional census, learn how to solve the problems that arise when moving to a register-based census, and about successes using census registers. The seminar was attended by specialists from statistical agencies of countries such as Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

During the workshop, participants were provided with detailed information on preparing for the census. The recommendations of the participating states of the workshop on population registration were also heard.
