Study of foreign experience in population census

On February 17, 2020, the Seminar on Preparing for the Census Process organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was held at the Wyndham Tashkent Hotel.

The event was attended by UNFPA experts, the leaders of the State Statistics Committee, representatives of the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre.

The seminar was attended by international expert Natalia Vladimirovna Stankevich, who made a presentation on the experience of the census of the Republic of Belarus. Besides, there were discussed the actual issues such as development of GIS data, development of the procedure for using cartographic materials by temporary census workers, recording and using GPS; flow control in CAPI, etc.

It should be reminded that at the seminar to be held 17-21 February, the agenda includes the organization of work to attract temporary census staff, the development of the material and technical and legal foundations of the census.
