As of January-August 2023, in the Surkhandarya region, 80.6 % of households have children under 16 years of age.
Of them:
- households with one child – 19.6 %;
- households with two children – 23.4 %;
- households with three children – 23.4 %;
- households with four or more children – 14.2 %.
According to the survey, 19.4 % of households do not have children under the age of 16.
