On June 22, 2023, a presentation on modern methods and advantages of population census was held at the Statistics Agency.
The report was made by the heads of the department of the Department for organizing and conducting census processes of the Agency on Statistics Nurali Shukurov and Kuatbai Saparov.
The presenters, on June 12-15 this year in Ankara, Turkey, the UN Statistics Division, the UN Statistics Division, the UN Economic Committee for Europe, the UN Population Fund, the UN Asia and the Pacific Institute, the Organization for Economic Co-operation, the statistician for Islamic countries, The Center for Economic and Social Research and Training provided detailed information on the benefits of moving from the traditional census to a population register-based method.
Also, opinions were expressed on the advantages of switching from the traditional method of population registration to the method based on the population register, the state of existing register databases in our country and their use.
At the end of the seminar, the participants received answers to their questions.
